Maria Organic only transforms products delivered by artisanal fishing. Fishing of sardines is certified sustainable by the MSC. We only use skipjack tuna species that is not endangered. The mackerel fished in the Iberian Peninsula are now an abundant species, of great quality and with a distant fishing quotas maximum allowed.
 
The fish turned on Maria Organic is mostly fresh fish caught in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of the Iberian Peninsula.
